Ways To Get Involved

 

Meccathon brings together the strongest student and faculty leaders across campus to build students’ affinity to philanthropy and the University through partnerships, passion, team work, and professional development. Whether you want to be a dancer, a spirit dancer, or a member of the executive board, there are a number of ways for you to make a difference in the life of a child! 

 

 

Students

As a current Howard University student, you may:

  1. Help plan/execute Meccathon 2016 by volunteering as a member of one of the Executive Committees (send an email to meccathon.dm@gmail.com).

  2. Register as a dancer (either individually or as a team with your friends), fundraise, and attend Meccathon 2016 by clicking here.

  3. Register as a spirit dancer and fundraise, although you are unable to attend Meccathon 2016, by clicking here.

  4. Spread the word! 

 

On-Campus Organizations

As an on-campus organization, you may:

  1. Create a team under your organization name and have members register as dancers or spirit dancers by clicking here. 

  2. Help with the planning/execution of Meccathon by sending an email to meccathon.dm@gmail.com with ways your organization is interested in helping.

  3. Spread the word! 

 

Faculty/Staff

As a Howard University faculty/staff member, you may:

  1. Register as a dancer on the Faculty/Staff team, fundraise, and attend Meccathon 2016 by clicking here.

  2. Register as a spirit dancer on the Faculty/Staff team and fundraise, although you are uable to attend Meccathon 2016, by clicking here.

  3. Spread the word! 

 

Alumni

As a Howard University alumn, you may:

  1. Register as a spirit dancer on the Alumni team and fundraise, although you will not be able to attend Meccathon 2016 by clicking here. (If you are interested in attending the event, please send an email to meccathon.dm@gmail.com.) 

  2. Spread the word! 

 

Community Members

Although the big event is open only to Howard University students and administration, members of the community may still support our cause by becoming sponsors, making a general donation, and spreading the word. For more information on getting involved, send an email to meccathon.dm@gmail.com.
